Course Outcomes:

The students will be able to understand fundamentals of Electrodynamics, Crystal structure, Semiconductors, Dielectrics, Nano materials, Magnetic and superconducting materials. It forms the base of many modern advance devices and technology.

Unit 1

Crystallography Crystal
directions and planes, Diatomic Crystal (CsCl, NaCl, Diamond, BaTiO3) Crystal imperfection, Point defects, Line defects, Surface and Volume defects, Structure properties relationship, structure determination by X-ray diffraction.

Conducting and Superconducting Materials
