- Sketch Book shall consist of free hand proportional scale sketches for items to be drawn on drawing sheets as mentioned below.
- Drawing to scale on a half imperial drawing sheet covering following aspects.
- Lettering, Symbols, Types of lines and dimensioning as per IS 962.
- Foundations: – Isolated, Combined Footings, Under Reamed Piles, Rafts.
- Types of Stone Masonry: Elevation and Sectional Drawings.
- Types of Brick masonry: Elevation and Sectional Drawings.
- Types of Doors: Elevation and Sectional Drawings.
- Types of Windows: Elevation and Sectional Drawings, Standard Aluminum Sections.
- Types of Stairs: Plan and Sectional Drawings.
- Trusses: Various types, various roof covering materials, sketches for sectional profiles
- Typical plan for a single room and sectional views.
- Site visit: To understand various building materials and their use.
Course Outcomes:
On completion of the course, the students will be able to:
- Apply the principles of planning and by laws used for building planning.
- Prepare detailed working drawing for doors and windows.
