Unit I

Solutions of Linear Algebraic Equations – Gauss elimination and LU decomposition, Gauss-Jordan Elimination, Guass-Seidel and relaxation methods.

Unit II

Eigen values and Eigen Vectors of Matrices – Faddeev-Leverrier method, Power method, Householders and Givens method

Function Evaluation – Least-squares curve fit, Newtons Interpolation formulae, Newtons divided difference interpolation polynomial, Langrangian interpolation, Pade approximations, Cubic spline approximations

Ordinary Differential Equations (Initial value problems) – RungeKutta Methods, Semi-implicit RungeKutta Techniques, Step size control and estimates of error
