<li>Perform and infer experiment on single phase AC circuits.</li>

<h4>Suggested List of laboratory experiments (Minimum Eight):</h4>
<p>  Also minimum two experiments from each course outcome shall be covered</p>

<li>Basic safety precautions. Introduction and use of measuring instruments &#8211; voltmeter, ammeter, multi-meter, oscilloscope. Real-life resistors, capacitors and inductors.</li>
<li>To measure output voltage across load resistor/current through load resistor and verify the result using Mesh and Nodal analysis.</li>
<li>Verification of Superposition Theorem.</li>
<li>Verification Thevenins Theorem.</li>
<li>Verification Nortons Theorem.</li>
<li>Verification Maximum Power Transfer Theorem.</li>
<li>To find the resistance and inductance of a coil connected in series with a pure resistance using three voltmeter method.</li>
<li>To find the resistance and inductance of a coil connected in parallel with a pure resistance using three ammeter method.</li>
<li>To find resonance conditions in a R-L-C series resonance circuit</li>
<li>To find resonance conditions in a R-L-C parallel resonance circuit.</li>
<li>To measure relationship between phase and line, currents and voltages in three phase system (star &amp; delta)</li>
<li>To measure Power and phase in three phase system by two wattmeter method.</li>
<li>To find the equivalent circuit parameters by conducting OC and SC test on single phase transformer</li>
<li>To demonstrate cut-out sections of DC machine.</li>
<li>To demonstrate cut-out sections of single phase transformer.</li>
</ol>
<h4>Term Work:</h4>
<p>  It comprises both part a and b Term work consists of performing minimum 06 practical mentioned as below. Final certification and acceptance of the term work ensures satisfactory performance of laboratory work. The distribution of marks for term work shall be as follows:</p>

<li>Laboratory work (Experiment/journal) : 10 marks.</li>
<li>Assignments : 10marks.</li>
<li>Attendance (Theory and Practical) : 05Marks</li>
</ul>
<p>  End Semester Examination: Pair of Internal and External Examiner should conduct Oral examination based on entire syllabus.</p>

<li>Use of plumbing tools, spanners, wrenches, threading dies, demonstration of preparation of a domestic line involving fixing of a water tap and use of coupling, elbow, tee, and union etc. 06</li>

<h4>Trade-5 Machine Shop:</h4>
<ul>
<li>At least one turning job is to be demonstrated and simple job to be made for Term Work in a group of 4 students. 06</li>

<p>  Internal Assessment Test: Assessment consists of two class tests of 20 marks each. The first class test is to be conducted when approx. 40% syllabus is completed and second class test when additional 35% syllabus is completed. Duration of each test shall be one hour. End Semester Theory Examination:</p>

<li>Question paper will comprise of total 06 questions, each carrying 20 marks.</li>
<li>10 percentage of marks will be asked from the self-study topics.</li>
<li>Total 04 questions need to be solved.</li>
<li>Question No: 01 will be compulsory and based on entire syllabus wherein sub-questions of 2 to 5 marks will be asked.</li>
<li>Remaining questions will be mixed in nature.( e.g. Suppose Q.2 has part a from module 3 then part b will be from any module other than module 3 )</li>
<li>In question paper weightage of each module will be proportional to number of respective lecture hrs as mentioned in the syllabus.</li>

<h4>Assessment:</h4>
<p>  Internal Assessment Test: Assessment consists of two class tests of 20 marks each. The first class test is to be conducted when approx. 40% syllabus is completed and second class test when additional 35% syllabus is completed. Duration of each test shall be one hour. End Semester Theory Examination:</p>

<li>Question paper will comprise of total 06 questions, each carrying 20marks.</li>
<li>Total 04 questions need to besolved.</li>
<li>Question No: 01 will be compulsory and based on entire syllabus wherein subquestions of 2 to 5 marks will beasked.</li>
<li>Remaining questions will be mixed in nature.( e.g. Suppose Q.2 has part a from module3 then part b will be from any module other than module 3)</li>
<li>In question paper weightage of each module will be proportional to number of respective lecture hrs as mentioned in thesyllabus.</li>
