  • Carry out energy audit of simple units
  • Study various financial appraisal methods
  • Analyse cogeneration and waste heat recovery systems
  • Do simple calculations regarding thermal insulation and electrical energy conservation

Unit 1

Introduction
General energy problem, Energy use patterns and scope of conservation. Energy Management Principles: Need, Organizing, Initiating and managing an energy management program.

Financial Appraisal Methods
