Course Outcomes:

At the end of the course, students will be able to:

    Identify and list elements of various transmission systems.

  • Draw sketches /schematics of transmission systems.
  • Describe the operating principles, functions, constructional details and working of transmission systems.
  • Compare various configurations/subtypes of transmission systems.
  • Select appropriate configuration/types for transmission system requirements in automotive applications

(Any 8 Experiment)

  1. Demonstration of garage, garage equipments and tools, preparation of different garage layouts.
  2. Demonstration of washing and greasing of vehicle.
  3. Engine oil change and periodic maintenance of vehicle.
  4. Dismantling and assembly of Clutch (light / heavy duty vehicle)
  5. Dismantling and assembly of Constant mesh gearbox and synchromesh gearbox.
  6. Dismantling and assembly of Drive line (universal joint, propeller shaft, slip joint)
  7. Dismantling and assembly Final drive and differential.
  8. Rear axle hub greasing.
  9. Dismantling and assembly of automatic transmission.
  10. Dismantling and assembly of fluid flywheel and torque converter.
