Course Outcomes:
Students will be able to achieve & demonstrate the following COs on completion of course based learning
- Identify the primary types of crafts with respect to associated materials and end uses.
- Identify the processes involved in creating Kalamkari, Madhubani, Warli, Phad ,Sanganeri, Bagru and Ajrakh textiles.
- Apply knowledge of basic yarn crafting terminology, materials and equipment .
- Identify various tools and materials employed in Banjara art, Zardozi and Ari embroidery depending on applications.
- Design contemporary fashion products using inspiration from Patchwork, Applique, Smocking and fabric texturing techniques to enhance garment aesthetics and functionalities.

Introduction to crafts and its origin(IKS2) 1.1 Zone-wise Introduction of Craft – North: Famous for its intricate metalwork, carpets, and papier-mâché. South: Famous for its exquisite silk, stone carvings, and temple art. East: Famous for its handloom textiles, cane and bamboo work. West: Celebrated for its blue pottery, leatherwork, and embroidery. Central: Known for its intricate stone carvings, marble work and jewellery. Northeast: Renowned for its bamboo and cane work, handloom textiles,and wood carving. 1.2 Types of Craft -Metal craft: Jewellery, utensils, sculptures. Wood craft: Furniture, toys, decorative items.
