- Determination of distillation range of solvent using distillation apparatus.
- Determination of effect of settling in paints using anti-settling agents.
- Determination of effect of surface active agent in paints.
- Measurement of viscosity of thickener in water at different concentration.
- Testing efficiency of Defoamers for water-based paint at different concentration.*
- Preparation of Oil in water emulsion using emulsifier and test stability of emulsion.*
- Testing of Flow & levelling agent in paint at different concentration by testing with sag Index meter.
- Measurement of drying time of alkyd resin film using driers at different dosage.*
- Testing efficiency of adhesion promoter in the applied coating using cross cut adhesion tester.
- Testing of Antiflooding & anti-floating agents in paints to test uniform dispersion
- Measurement of effect on gloss for paint film with use of matting agents in paints.
- Measurement of conductivity of polar & nonpolar solvents using conductivity meter.
- Measurement of effect of plasticizer additive in coating using scratch hardness test & adhesion test.*
Note : Out of above suggestive LLOs – ‘*’ Marked Practicals (LLOs) Are mandatory. Minimum 80% of above list of lab experiment are to be performed. Judicial mix of LLOs are to be performed to achieve desired outcomes.
