Course Outcomes:

Students will be able to achieve & demonstrate the following COs on completion of course based learning

  1. Use work study to maximize effectiveness of man and machine.
  2. Use principles of planning and process control in a garment manufacturing industry.

Work study 1.1 Method study-steps, Standard operating procedure(SOP). 1.2 Tools and techniques, Flow charts. 1.3 Time study-procedure. 1.4 Performance rating and allowances. 1.5 Calculation of standard time (SAM – Standard allowed minute, SMV – standard minute value), Motion study-therbligs SIMO charts (Simultaneous-Motion Cycle), Motion economy. 1.6 Application of Ergonomics in areas of garment industry.
