Self Learning

Micro Project

  • Develop point paper designs of Pique cord by changing technical specifications on CAD Software.
  • Prepare the report by collecting backed cloth designs from various books, magazines and internet.
  • Prepare the report by analysing various pile sample for design, draft and peg plan.
  • Develop and Draw point paper designs of Self stitched double cloth by changing various specifications like face weave, back weave, warp pattern, weft pattern, type of stitching used.
  • Develop point paper designs of interchanging double cloth by changing various specifications like motif, weave, warp pattern, weft pattern.
  • Prepare various leno structures by interlacing coarse coloured warp threads with contrasting colour picks and stick it on a card board.
  • Develop point paper designs of various Bedford cord fabric by changing technical specifications.
  • Develop point paper designs of Centre stitched double cloth by changing various specifications like face weave, back weave, warp pattern, weft pattern, type of stitching used.

Assignment

  • Collect samples of terry towel designs with checks, combined strip and checks and small natural or geometric designs. Draw motif of these designs on point paper. Draw design, draft and peg-plan of the motif.
  • Collect samples of corduroy fabrics. Draw cross section, design, draft and peg-plan of all these design and prepare a catalogue.
