Course Outcomes:

- Use the blood pressure meter, pulse oximeter and temperature meter to measure vital parameters.
- Use the respiration rate meter to assess a person respiratory status.
- Troubleshoot ECG machine for simple faults.

Blood Pressure , Oxygen Saturation and Temperature Measurement 1.1 Concept of direct, indirect, relative BP measurement and BP waveform 1.2 Block diagram and technical specification of indirect system sphygmomanometer,direct system,digital blood pressure meter, digital stethoscope 1.3 Block diagram and principle operation of pulse oxymeter beers and lamberts law, technical specification of pulse oxymeter 1.4 Concept of systemic and skin temperature, block diagram and technical specification of digital temperature meter 1.5 Traditional indian medicine, particularly ayurveda,has a rich history of diagnostic methods.Nadi pariksha (pulse diagnosis),Nakha pariksha (nail diagnosis),Palpatory method,etc.It is important to note that while these methods have historical significance and are still used in some traditional medical practices, modern medicine has evolved with the incorporation of advanced diagnostic tools such as imaging, blood tests, and genetic analysis for more accurate and precise diagnosis.
