The detailed syllabus for the Internet of Things lab is as follows.<\/p>\n<h4>Course Objectives:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide skills to build Internet of Things (IoT) systems.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Course Outcomes:<\/h4>\n<p>On completion of the course, the student will be able to:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Develop simple IoT applications using computing boards (Node MCU\/Arduino, etc) and sensors<\/li>\n<li>Identify Python programming constructs for IoT applications<\/li>\n<li>Develop IoT applications using Raspberry PI<\/li>\n<li>Design and develop an IoT application to solve problems<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h4>Module 1:<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Experiment with Computing boards and sensors to familiarize yourself with IoT gadgets.<\/li>\n<li>Develop simple IoT applications with computing boards and sensors<\/li>\n<li>Develop applications to control sensors through web pages, mobile applications<\/li>\n<li>Implement applications to upload data to the cloud<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h4>Module 2:<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Recall Programming concepts of Python &#8211; data types, lists, tuple, dictionaries, etc<\/li>\n<li>Recall control structures in Python<\/li>\n<li>Develop Programs using functions, packages, and modules<\/li>\n<li>Make use of Python packages for IoT<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h4>Module 3:<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Experiment with Raspberry PI<\/li>\n<li>Develop Simple IoT applications with Raspberry PI to interact with the web, mobile applications, and cloud.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h4>Module 4:<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Open-ended Experiment: Design and develop an IoT application to solve a real-world problem.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h4>Suggested Open Ended Experiment<\/h4>\n<p>(Not for End Semester Examination but compulsory to be included in Continuous Internal Evaluation. Students can do open-ended experiments in groups of 2-3.
