Course Objectives:<\/h4>\n

To develop the ability to design microcomputer-based embedded systems. This class allows students to learn microcomputer interfacing from both a hardware and software perspective.\n<\/p>\n

Course Outcomes:<\/h4>\n

On completion of the course, the student will be able to:<\/p>\n

  1. Make use of AVR studioto exercise simple programs<\/li>\n
  2. Develop embedded C programs to interface various sensors and motors<\/li>\n
  3. Realize interfacing of display devices, keyboard and ADC\/DAC converters<\/li>\n
  4. Realize I2C and SPI Communication interfaces with AVR<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Module 1:<\/h4>\n

    1. Familiarize AVR studiofor AVR programming<\/li>\n
    2. Develop programs for LED blinking<\/li>\n
    3. Read the status of a switch and display it on an LED<\/li>\n
    4. Develop programs to drive a load using Relay<\/li>\n
    5. Make use of AVR tointerface optocoupler.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      1. Realize Temperature sensor interfacing with AVR<\/li>\n
      2. Demonstrate interfacing of Humidity sensor with AVR<\/li>\n
      3. Demonstrate DC Motor interface with AVR<\/li>\n

      5. Realize Stepper Motor Interfacing with AVR<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
