The detailed syllabus of modelling and simulation lab is as follows. <\/p>\n<p><h4>Course Objectives:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>To simulate and test various electrical and electronics circuits<\/li>\n<li>To study the behaviour of various electrical and electronics circuits<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><h4>Course Outcomes:<\/h4>\n<p>On completion of the course, the student will be able to:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Develop simulations to demonstrate basic electrical circuits.<\/li>\n<li>Develop simulations to demonstrate basic electronic circuits.<\/li>\n<li>Build simulation models for power electronic circuits<\/li>\n<li>Construct simulation models to implement various combinational logic circuits<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><h4>Module 1:<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Simulation of systems using Computers-Use standard simulation tools like Matlab\/Simulink\/ Pspice\/Lab view<\/li>\n<li>Generation of various standard signals -Sinusoidal ,Square signal and plot them<\/li>\n<li>Simulate a dc circuit and determine the node voltages(circuit with maximum two loops only )<\/li>\n<li>Simulate a dc circuit and verify any one network theorem.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><h4>Module 2:<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Plot input output characteristics of diode.<\/li>\n<li>Plot input output characteristics of npn\/pnp transistor.<\/li>\n<li>Simulate any one diode rectifier with and without filter.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><h4>Module 3:<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Plot the output of single phase ac voltage controller<\/li>\n<li>Plot the output of dc chopper circuit<\/li>\n<li>Simulate the DC motor speed control system<\/li>\n<li>Simulate Battery charger circuit<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><h4>Module 4:<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Simulate various logic gates<\/li>\n<li>Develop a model of half adder and full adder circuit<\/li>\n<li>Develop a model of 3 bit multiplexer<\/li>\n<li>Develop a model of RS, D, JK and T Flipflops<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><h4>Reference Books:<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>MATLAB Primer by MATHWORKS:<\/li>\n<li>Agamkumar Tyagi, MATLAB and Simulink for Engineers, Oxford Higher Education,2011<\/li>\n<li>Muhammad H.
