The detailed syllabus of machine vision lab is as follows. <\/p>\n<p><h4>Course Objectives:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>To introduce the student to OpenCV, especially for image processing.<\/li>\n<li>To Calibrate the camera and extract the intrinsic and extrinsic parameters of the camera<\/li>\n<li>To Find the edges in the image<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><h4>Tools and Equipment<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Processors: Intel AtomR processor or IntelR Core\u00e2\u201e\u00a2 i3 processor.<\/li>\n<li>Disk space: 1 GB.<\/li>\n<li>Operating systems: Windows 7 or later, macOS, and Linux.<\/li>\n<li>Software: PyCharm, OpenCV<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><h4>Course Outcomes:<\/h4>\n<p>On completion of the course, the student will be able to:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>To Perform basic Image Handling and Processing operations on the image.<\/li>\n<li>To perform various techniques of image enhancement, reconstruction, compression and segmentation<\/li>\n<li>To perform Edge Detection, Line Detection and Corner Detection.<\/li>\n<li>To perform Camera Calibration<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><h4>Module 1:<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Reading, displaying, and writing an image using OpenCV.<\/li>\n<li>Convert the image to another format using OpenCV<\/li>\n<li>Perform the image resizing using OpenCV.<\/li>\n<li>Convert a colored image into a grayscale image using OpenCV.<\/li>\n<li>Scaling, rotation and shifting operation on the image using OpenCV.<\/li>\n<li>Play a video using OpenCV.<\/li>\n<li>Extract images from the video.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><h4>Module 2:<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Perform scaling, rotation and shifting operations on an image using OpenCV()<\/li>\n<li>Perform image reflection on an image using OpenCV().<\/li>\n<li>Perform Image shearing on an image using OpenCV().<\/li>\n<li>Apply the affine transformation on an image using OpenCV().<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><h4>Module 3:<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Compute the edge detection using Sobel, Prewitt and canny operator.<\/li>\n<li>Implement the Harris Corner detector algorithm to determine the corner in the image.<\/li>\n<li>Implement the Harris Corner Detector algorithm without the inbuilt OpenCV() function.<\/li>\n<li>Detect the line using Hough Transform<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><h4>Module 4:<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Perform the camera calibration and compute the intrinsic and extrinsic parameters of the camera.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><h4>Online Resources<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>OpenCV Python Tutorial -GeeksforGeeks<\/li>\n<li>OpenCV-python-tests\/cameraCalibration.py at master \u00c2\u00b7 jagracar\/OpenCV-python-tests \u00c2\u00b7 GitHub<\/li>\n<li>OpenCV: Image Gradients<\/li>\n<li>https:\/\/github.com\/<\/li>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p align=\"justify\">For detailed syllabus of all other subjects of Automation &amp;
