The detailed syllabus of press tool lab is as follows. <\/p>\n<p><h4>Course Objectives:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>To familiarize students with the press tool making principles and operations in Tool &amp; Die engineering.<\/li>\n<li>To impart skills on various precision measuring instruments for taking dimensions.<\/li>\n<li>To give knowledge on theassembly &amp; maintenance of simple stamping dies.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><h4>Course Outcomes:<\/h4>\n<p>On completion of the course, the student will be able to:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Demonstrate the press tool components of Simple Guide plate tool\/progressive tool.<\/li>\n<li>Practice the press tool assembly &amp; maintenance of simple dies.<\/li>\n<li>Describe the different types of presses and their applications.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrate metal stamping on suitable press and Product Trial &amp; Error runs.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><h4>Module 1:<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Produce the guide plate tool components -Die plate, Punch holder plate, Punch plate, Stripper plate, Top &amp; Bottom plate, Punches, Guide pin, Guide pillars etc.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><h4>Module 2:<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Demonstrate bench work assembly of the simple stamping dies.<\/li>\n<li>Employ the acceptance criteria and do the necessary rectifications.<\/li>\n<li>Practice on assembly &amp; maintenance of various bending &amp; forming tools.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><h4>Module 3:<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Describe the type &amp; applications of the presses according to their construction.
