The detailed syllabus of moulds and dies &#8211; heat treatment lab is as follows. <\/p>\n<p><h4>Course Objectives:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>To familiarize students with the Injection\/compression\/transfer Moulding principles and operations in Tool &amp; Die making.<\/li>\n<li>To provide skills on various precision measuring instruments for taking dimensions.<\/li>\n<li>To impart practical knowledge in heat treatment and skill development on its industrial application.<\/li>\n<li>To give knowledge on industrial assembly &amp; maintenance of various kind injection moulds.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><h4>Course Outcomes:<\/h4>\n<p>On completion of the course, the student will be able to:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Produce the mould components of hand injection Mould\/compression mould\/transfer mould<\/li>\n<li>Practice the process of core &amp; cavity blue matching.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrate the Industrial mould assembly &amp; maintenance.<\/li>\n<li>Apply various heat treatment processes on different types of tool steels.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><h4>Module 1:<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Produce various Mould components &#8211; Cavity plate, core plate, Ejector Assembly, Guide Pins &amp; Pillars etc.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><h4>Module 2:<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Demonstrate blue matching of cavity and core inserts by means of a thin and semitransparent layer of Prussian blue.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrate the micro finishing operations Lapping, Honing, superfinishing etc.<\/li>\n<li>Employ the acceptance criteria and do the necessary rectifications.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><h4>Module 3:<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Describe the working of Hand injection\/Injection moulding machines<\/li>\n<li>Apply a Product Trial run on the moulding machine and check for any flash.<\/li>\n<li>Employ the acceptance criteria and do the necessary rectifications.<\/li>\n<li>Practice on assembly &amp;
