The detailed syllabus of color analysis lab is as follows. <\/p>\n<p><h4>Course Objectives:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>To provide tangible experience for the students with the basic notions of color reproduction and color analysis practices.<\/li>\n<li>To develop concrete knowledge on the various aspects of color image reproduction.<\/li>\n<li>To acquire precise skill in -basic measurement of color &amp; density, color management practices, print quality measurement and analysis,<\/li>\n<li>To familiarization with various color reproduction quality standards, characterization targets, test charts etc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><h4>Course Outcomes:<\/h4>\n<p>On completion of the course, the student will be able to:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Preparing Originals and Measuring Color &amp; Density of print.<\/li>\n<li>Apply Color Management process.<\/li>\n<li>Apply Print Quality Measurement.<\/li>\n<li>To work with Color Reproduction Quality Standards.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><h4>Module 1:<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Familiarizing with half tone, continuous tone and line copy originals.<\/li>\n<li>Color measurement of CMYK (25%, 50%, 75% &amp;100%) patches.<\/li>\n<li>Density measurement CMYK (25%, 50%, 75% &amp;100%) patches.<\/li>\n<li>Delta E measurements and evaluation of different samples.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><h4>Module 2:<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Familiarizing with color management software.<\/li>\n<li>Familiarizing with color models-RGB, CMY, and CIE LAB.<\/li>\n<li>Calibration of Monitor, Scanner, Printer.<\/li>\n<li>Familiarizing with Characterization Targets.<\/li>\n<li>Characterization of Monitor, Scanner, Printer.<\/li>\n<li>Gamut Mapping and Evaluation of Monitor, Scanner, Printer and Print.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><h4>Module 3:<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Measuring Hue error, Contrast, Ink trapping Grayness.<\/li>\n<li>Dot area measurement.<\/li>\n<li>Assessment of effect of screen angles and dot shape on color.<\/li>\n<li>Measuring and Evaluating dot gain.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><h4>Module 4:<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Familiarizing with ISO, G7, GATF, FOGRA standards.<\/li>\n<li>Familiarizing of Color control charts- Fogra Charts &amp; GATF Charts.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><h4>Text Books:<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Mark D.
