The detailed syllabus of quality assurance &amp;testing lab is as follows. <\/p>\n<p><h4>Course Objectives:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>To get an exposure for the students in raw rubber testing, in process tests and rubber vulcanizate testing.<\/li>\n<li>To prepare the student to be confident enough to handle any problems in dry rubber industry which will definitely assure quality of that product.<\/li>\n<li>To get a clear idea on the importance of quality assurance and quality control in rubber industries.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><h4>Course Outcomes:<\/h4>\n<p>On completion of the course, the student will be able to:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Perform various specification tests of Natural rubber as per IS 4588<\/li>\n<li>Carry out the in-process tests of rubber compound.<\/li>\n<li>Perform tests on rubber vulcanizates.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><h4>Module 1:<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Estimate dirt content of raw natural Rubber<\/li>\n<li>Determine the ash content of raw natural rubber<\/li>\n<li>Determine volatile matter of raw natural Rubber.<\/li>\n<li>Estimate nitrogen and total protein content of raw natural Rubber.<\/li>\n<li>Determine acetone extract of raw natural rubber.<\/li>\n<li>Determination of Po &amp; PRI of raw natural rubber<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><h4>Module 2:<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Estimate carbon black content of rubber compound<\/li>\n<li>Determination of density of rubber compound<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><h4>Module 3:<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Determine swelling behaviour of rubber vulcanizates.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><h4>Text Books:<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Rubbery Materials and their Compounds &#8211; J.A.
