The detailed syllabus of electronic instrumentation lab is as follows. <\/p>\n<p><h4>Course Objectives:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>To introduce the static characteristics of a given instrument<\/li>\n<li>To familiarize the use of DC and AC bridges<\/li>\n<li>To learn the calibration of watt meter and energy meter<\/li>\n<li>To familiarize the use CRO\/DSO and strip chart recorder.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><h4>Course Outcomes:<\/h4>\n<p>On completion of the course, the student will be able to:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Determine the static characteristics of a given instrument and to convert the given galvanometer in to ammeter and voltmeter.<\/li>\n<li>Determine unknown resistance, capacitance and inductance values using appropriate bridges.<\/li>\n<li>Calibrate given watt meter and energy meter.<\/li>\n<li>Explain the use of CRO\/DSO and recorders.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><h4>Module 1:<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Calibrate the given instrument (ammeterusing slide wire potentiometer \/voltmeterusing slide wire potentiometer \/any other instrument) and determine accuracy, error, precision, hysteresis, sensitivity.<\/li>\n<li>Convert the given galvanometer to ammeter and voltmeter.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><h4>Module 2:<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Determine the unknown resistance using Wheatstone&#8217;s bridge.<\/li>\n<li>Determine the unknown Inductance using Hays bridge.<\/li>\n<li>Determine the unknown Capacitance using Schering Bridge<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><h4>Module 3:<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Calibrate wattmeter by direct loading.<\/li>\n<li>Calibrate energy meter by direct loading at unity power factor.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><h4>Module 4:<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Utilize the CRO and DSO for voltage, time period and frequency measurement.<\/li>\n<li>Measure the unknown frequency by using known frequency by Lissajeous pattern method.<\/li>\n<li>Measure phase difference of given waveforms using CRO.<\/li>\n<li>Illustrate Strip Chart Recorder.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><h4>Reference Books:<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>B L Thereja, &#8221; Electrical Technology&#8221;, S Chand.<\/li>\n<li>AK Sawhney, &#8220;A Course in Electrical and Electronic Measurements and Instrumentation&#8221;, Dhanpath Rai.<\/li>\n<li>Kalsi, &#8221; Electronic Instrumentation&#8221;, TMH.<\/li>\n<li>William D Cooper, &#8221; Modern Electronic Instrumentation and Measurement Techniques&#8221;, PHI.<\/li>\n<li>David A.
