The detailed syllabus of smart systems lab is as follows. <\/p>\n<p><h4>Course Objectives:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>To familiarize students with Arduino as IDE, programming language &amp; platform.<\/li>\n<li>To develop skills to design and implement various smart system applications.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><h4>Course Outcomes:<\/h4>\n<p>On completion of the course, students will be able to:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Illustrate Arduino board and its operations<\/li>\n<li>Make use of Arduino IDE to develop programs for lighting LED<\/li>\n<li>Make use of Arduino IDE and Arduino Board to develop programs for LCD displays and seven segment display<\/li>\n<li>Make use of Arduino IDE and Arduino Board to develop programs for DC motor and servo motor\t1<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><h4>Module 1:<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Introduction to Arduino IDE and different types of Arduino Board<\/li>\n<li>Syntax for writing Arduino IDE<\/li>\n<li>Blink LED in Arduino board<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><h4>Module 2:<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Blinking of LED, Fading of LED, Circling of LED (for loop), traffic light system<\/li>\n<li>Changing the brightness of LED using potentiometer<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><h4>Module 3:<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Display a message in LCD screen, scrolling of text in LCD screen<\/li>\n<li>Simple automatic count down and count up (for loop) for seven segment display<\/li>\n<li>Increment and decrement a number by using push button for seven segment display<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><h4>Module 4:<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Controlling a DC motor<\/li>\n<li>Direction control of servo motor<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><h4>Suggested Open-Ended Experiments:<\/h4>\n<p>(Not for End Semester Examination but compulsory to be included in Continuous Internal Evaluation. Students can do open-ended experiments as a group of 2-3.
