The detailed syllabus of database lab is as follows. <\/p>\n<p><h4>Course Objectives:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Impart the design and management of relational databases using SQL.<\/li>\n<li>Familiarize with the design and management of NOSQL databases.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><h4>Course Outcomes:<\/h4>\n<p>On completion of the course, the student will be able to:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Demonstrate the use of DDL and DML commands in database<\/li>\n<li>Illustrate SQL queries involving aggregate functions, join operations, views and nested queries<\/li>\n<li>Construct SQL programs using functions, procedures, and trigger<\/li>\n<li>Implement document based NOSQL databases using MongoDB<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><h4>Module 1:<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Demonstrate DDL commands-CREATE, ALTER, DROP<\/li>\n<li>Apply integrity constraints &#8211; PRIMARY KEY, NOT NULL, DEFAULT, CHECK, UNIQUE, FOREIGN KEY<\/li>\n<li>Experiment DML commands &#8211; INSERT, SELECT, UPDATE and DELETE to manipulate databases<\/li>\n<li>Use WHERE, DISTINCT, BETWEEN, ORDER BY, IN, LIKE, set operations in SELECT statements for data retrieval from the databases<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><h4>Module 2:<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Implement aggregate functions -SUM, AVG, COUNT, MIN, MAX &#8211; GROUP BY and HAVING clause<\/li>\n<li>Construct nested queries<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrate SQL queries for inner and outer joins.<\/li>\n<li>Illustrate various views of the table<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><h4>Module 3:<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Demonstrate the stored procedures for simple tasks<\/li>\n<li>Apply stored functions for database manipulations<\/li>\n<li>Illustrate SQL programs using triggers<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><h4>Module 4:<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Demonstrate the Installation and configuration of MongoDB<\/li>\n<li>Experiment the functions of Mongoengine library &#8211; connect, Document, ListField, EmbeddedDocument<\/li>\n<li>Illustrate the use of insert, save, print, update and delete functions in MongoDB<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><h4>Text Books:<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Elmasri, Navathe, Fundamentals of Database Systems, 7th Ed., Pearson<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><h4>Reference Books:<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Sliberschatz A., H.
