The detailed syllabus of surveying lab is as follows. <\/p>\n<p><h4>Course Objectives:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>To enable the students to perform contouring and to use theodolite for obtaining angular measurements and perform traversing.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><h4>Course Outcomes:<\/h4>\n<p>On completion of the course, the student will be able to:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Prepare contour maps using leveling instrument.<\/li>\n<li>Measure the horizontal angle using theodolite<\/li>\n<li>Measure the vertical angle using theodolite<\/li>\n<li>Perform traversing using theodolite and prepare plans\t1<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><h4>Module 1:<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Take spot levels and prepare contour map<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><h4>Module 2:<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Perform temporary adjustments of theodolite<\/li>\n<li>Measure horizontal angles by repetition method<\/li>\n<li>Measure horizontal angles by reiteration method<\/li>\n<li>Prolong a line using theodolite Measure the bearing of a line using theodolite<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><h4>Module 3:<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Determine the difference in elevation and distance between two stations by measuring vertical and horizontal angles (single station)<\/li>\n<li>Determine difference in level and horizontal distance between two points by observation from the ends of the base line.<\/li>\n<li>Find the elevation of tall object (base accessible) using theodolite<\/li>\n<li>Find the elevation of a tall object (base inaccessible) using theodolite (both instrument stations and object are in same vertical plane )<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><h4>Module 4:<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Perform theodolite traversing and record observation.<\/li>\n<li>Compute included angles, latitude, departure, and prepare Gale&#8217;s traverse table.<\/li>\n<li>Plot the traverse and find the area<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><h4>Text Books:<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Punmia, B.C,; Jain, Ashok Kumar; Jain, Arun Kumar, Surveying I, Laxmi Publications., New Delhi<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><h4>Reference Books:<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Basak, N.
