The detailed syllabus of analytical chemistry lab is as follows. <\/p>\n<p><h4>Course Objectives:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>To impart knowledge on basic engineering chemistry experiments through volumetric analysis.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><h4>Course Outcomes:<\/h4>\n<p>On completion of the course student will be able to:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Practice Acidimetric and Alkalimetric analysis.<\/li>\n<li>Practice Permanganometry<\/li>\n<li>Practice Dichrometry.<\/li>\n<li>Practice Iodometry, iodimetry and Argentometry<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><h4>Module 1:<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Estimate the quantity of sulphuric acid present in the given sample of solution using oxalic acid crystals and deci normal solution of NaOH.<\/li>\n<li>Estimate the amount of sodium hydroxide present in the given sample of solutions using deci normal solution of HCl and AR sodium carbonate crystals.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><h4>Module 2:<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Estimate the amount of sodium oxalate in the given sample of solution using deci normal solution of potassium permanganate and oxalic acid crystals.<\/li>\n<li>Estimate the amount of oxalic acid in the given sample of solution using AR Mohr&#8217;s salt crystals and deci normal solution of potassium permanganate.<\/li>\n<li>Estimate the amount of Mohr&#8217;s salt in the given sample of solution using pure oxalic acid crystals and deci normal solution of potassium permanganate.<\/li>\n<li>Estimate the amount of ferrous ion in the given sample of solution using AR Mohr&#8217;s salt crystals and deci normal solution of potassium permanganate.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><h4>Module 3:<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Estimate the amount of ferrous ion in the given sample of solution using AR Mohr&#8217;s salt and deci normal solution of potassium dichromate using internal indicator.<\/li>\n<li>Estimate the amount of ferrous ion in the given sample of solution using potassium dichromate crystals using external indicator.<\/li>\n<li>Open ended experiments<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><h4>Module 4:<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Estimate the amount of potassium dichromate in the whole of the given solution, being supplied with approximately N\/20 sodium thiosulphate solution and electrolytic copper.<\/li>\n<li>Estimate the amount of copper in the whole of the given solution supplied with pure potassiuym dichromate crystals and approximately N\/20 solution of sodium thiosulphate.<\/li>\n<li>Estimation of bleaching powder.<\/li>\n<li>Estimate the amount of chloride in the whole of the given solution of potassium chloride, supplied with approx.
