The detailed syllabus of advanced cad lab is as follows. <\/p>\n<p><h4>Course Objectives:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>To familiarize with solid primitives and Boolean operations<\/li>\n<li>To make aware of use of layers and their options<\/li>\n<li>To identify and apply polylines and solid modelling options<\/li>\n<li>To apply layers and their applications, block creation and insertion. Dimensioning<\/li>\n<li>To identify UCS, VIEWPOINT, VIEWPORT, and Multiview of a solid object.<\/li>\n<li>To appreciate Engineering components in conceptual level and three dimensional level.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><h4>Course Outcomes:<\/h4>\n<p>On completion of the course, the student will be able to:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Develop 3D modelling. Solid primitives and Boolean operations<\/li>\n<li>Make use of Polyline options to prepare models of Automobile components.<\/li>\n<li>Build automobile models using Layers , Blocks and Dimensioning tool.<\/li>\n<li>Make use of viewing options to prepare 3D models of Automobile components.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><h4>Module 1:<\/h4>\n<p>Benefits of 3D modelling. Solid primitives such as box, sphere, cone, pyramid, torus etc. Boolean operations &#8211; union, intersection, substract\n<\/p>\n<p><h4>Module 2:<\/h4>\n<p>Polylines, Closed Polylines, Pedit Commands, Editing Commands, Extrusion And Its Variants. Sweep Command, Revolve, Loft, Press Pull\n<\/p>\n<p><h4>Module 3:<\/h4>\n<p>Layers and its applications. Block creation and its insertion. Dimensioning.\n<\/p>\n<p><h4>Module 4:<\/h4>\n<p>UCS, Viewpoint, VIEWPORT, Creating multi-view of a SOLID OBJECT. Students can do open ended experiments as a group of 2-3.
