The detailed syllabus of mechanics of robotics lab is as follows. <\/p>\n<p><h4>Course Objectives:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Study and demonstrate the kinematic behavior of mechanical linkages<\/li>\n<li>Study the working of different mechanical drives, vibrations and balancing of masses<\/li>\n<li>Perform kinematic and dynamic analysis with simulation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><h4>Course Outcomes:<\/h4>\n<p>On completion of the course, the student will be able to:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Demonstrate the kinematic behavior of linkages and Cams<\/li>\n<li>Study the working of mechanical drives<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrate the vibration of mechanical elements and to study the balancing of forces<\/li>\n<li>Perform kinematic and dynamic analyses with simulation.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><h4>Module 1:<\/h4>\n<p>Experiments <\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Kinematics of Four Bar, Slider Crank and their inversions<\/li>\n<li>Kinematics of single and double universal joints.<\/li>\n<li>Cam &#8211; Cam profile drawing, Motion curves and study of jump phenomenon<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><h4>Module 2:<\/h4>\n<p>Experiments <\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Study the working of belt, chain and rope drives<\/li>\n<li>Study gear parameters.<\/li>\n<li>Experimental study of velocity ratios of simple, compound, Epicyclic and differential gear trains<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><h4>Module 3:<\/h4>\n<p>Experiments <\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Motorized gyroscope &#8211; Study of gyroscopic effect and couple.<\/li>\n<li>Single degree of freedom Spring Mass System &#8211; Determination of natural Frequency<\/li>\n<li>Study of torsional vibration in shaft (single rotor and two rotor system)<\/li>\n<li>To determine whirling speed of the shaft with concentrate loading<\/li>\n<li>Understand and verify the fundamental laws of static &amp; dynamic balancing<\/li>\n<li>Study balancing of rotating and reciprocating masses.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><h4>Module 4:<\/h4>\n<p>Experiments <\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Forward kinematics and validation using a software (Robo Analyser\/Matlab or any other free software tool)<\/li>\n<li>Inverse kinematics of an industrial robot and validation using any open-source software<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><h4>Reference Books:<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Theory of Machines, S.S.Rattan , Tata Mc-Graw Hill.<\/li>\n<li>Mechanical Vibrations and Noise Engineering, A.
