The detailed syllabus of electrical circuits and machines lab is as follows. <\/p>\n<p><h4>Course Objectives:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide working knowledge for the analysis of basic DC and AC circuits<\/li>\n<li>Provide the practical exposure regarding construction and operation of various electrical machines like DC generators, DC Motors, Induction Motors and Transformers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><h4>Course Outcomes:<\/h4>\n<p>On completion of the course, the student will be able to:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Apply fundamental concepts and circuit laws to solve simple DC electric circuits<\/li>\n<li>Realize the concept of resonance and learn the power measurement by two wattmeter method.<\/li>\n<li>Learn the construction and operation of DC generator and motor<\/li>\n<li>Learn the working and testing methods of transformer<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><h4>Module 1:<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Verify Kirchhoff &#8216;s current Law and Kirchhoff &#8216;s Voltage Law<\/li>\n<li>Test and Verify Thevenin&#8217;s and Norton theorem<\/li>\n<li>Test and verify the super position theorem<\/li>\n<li>Measure the power in RLC parallel circuit. Calculate the power factor and draw the phasor diagram.<\/li>\n<li>Measure the power in RLC series circuit. Calculate the power factor and draw the phasor diagram.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><h4>Module 2:<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Construct RLC Circuit for Series Resonance and draw the Frequency versus Impedance curve<\/li>\n<li>Construct RLC Circuit for Parallel Resonance and draw the Frequency versus Impedance curve<\/li>\n<li>Measurement of 3$ power by two wattmeter method<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><h4>Module 3:<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Determination of Open Circuit Characteristics of DC shunt generator<\/li>\n<li>Conduct Load test on DC shunt generator and draw the performance curve<\/li>\n<li>Conduct the load test on DC series motor and draw the performance curve<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><h4>Module 4:<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Conduct the Load test on 1$ Transformer<\/li>\n<li>Predetermine the efficiency and regulation by open circuit and short circuit tests on 1$ transformer<\/li>\n<li>Perform load test on 1$ induction motor<\/li>\n<li>Perform load test on 3$ squirrel cage induction motor<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><h4>Text Books:<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Bhattacharya, S.
