The detailed syllabus of logic system design lab is as follows. <\/p>\n<p><h4>Course Objectives:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Students will be able to demonstrate various digital circuits using trainer kit and ICs and create various systems by using digital logic<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><h4>Course Outcomes:<\/h4>\n<p>On completion of the course, the student will be able to:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Develop basic logic functions using TTL logic gates<\/li>\n<li>Construct Combinational logic circuits using logic gates<\/li>\n<li>Construct &amp; test the operations of various sequential circuits<\/li>\n<li>Open-ended experiments<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><h4>Module 1:<\/h4>\n<p>Experiments<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Test the functionality &amp; verify truth table of basic gates (IC 7404, 7408, 7432)<\/li>\n<li>Test the functionality &amp; verify truth table of NAND and NOR gates (IC 7400, 7402)<\/li>\n<li>Test the functionality &amp; verify the truth tables of logic gates XOR,XNOR.(IC 7486, 74266)<\/li>\n<li>Implement basic gates using NAND and NOR gates only.<\/li>\n<li>Build the logic circuit on breadboard to check the De-Morgan&#8217;s theorem<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><h4>Module 2:<\/h4>\n<p>Experiments<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Construct Half Adder and Half Substractor using basic gates<\/li>\n<li>Construct Half Adder and Half Substractor using universal gates<\/li>\n<li>Construct Binary to Gray and Gray to Binary code converters<\/li>\n<li>Construct 4 to 1 Multiplexer and 1 to 4 DeMultiplexer using Logic gates.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrate the use of MUX IC 74153, Decoder\/Demux IC 74139.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><h4>Module 3:<\/h4>\n<p>Experiments<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Construct, Test and investigate the operation of D Flip-Flop &amp; T FlipFlop IC&#8217;s<\/li>\n<li>Construct, Test and investigate the operation of SR Flip-Flop &amp; JK Flip-Flop IC&#8217;s<\/li>\n<li>Use IC7490 to construct decade counter<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><h4>Suggested Open Ended Experiments<\/h4>\n<p>(Not for End Semester Examination but compulsory to be included in Continuous Internal Evaluation. Students can do open-ended experiments as a group of 2-3.
