The detailed syllabus of calibration and simulation lab is as follows. <\/p>\n<p>  <title>Calibration and Simulation Lab<\/title><\/p>\n<h4>Course Outcomes:<\/h4>\n<p align=\"justify\">\n  On completion of this course the student will be able<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Familiarise HART communicator calibrator.<\/li>\n<li>Connect HART communicator to any one of transmitter(DpTx,PTx,TTx) loop and perform basic set ups.<\/li>\n<li>Set up a 4-20mA loop and find the value of the resistance for various percentages of process variable(using 24V dc source, mA meter &amp; Potentiometer)<\/li>\n<li>Calibrate SMART Temperature Transmitter for Different Ranges of Temperature using RTD sensor and perform.\n<ol type=\"i\">\n<li>Basic setup<\/li>\n<li>Calibration<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li>Calibrate SMART Temperature Transmitter for Different Ranges of Temperature using thermo couples and perform\n<ol type=\"i\">\n<li>Basic setup<\/li>\n<li>Calibration<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li>Perform control valve stroke test using 4-20 mA source .<\/li>\n<li>Calibrate control Valve Positioner using 4- 20mA source.<\/li>\n<li>Calibrate SMART Differential Pressure Transmitter for Different Ranges of Differential Pressure and perform\n<ol type=\"i\">\n<li>Basic setup<\/li>\n<li>Calibration(Re range ,sensor trim, trim analog output)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li>Calibrate SMART Dp type level Transmitter for Different Ranges of DP and perform\n<ol type=\"i\">\n<li>Basic setup<\/li>\n<li>Calibration(Re range, sensor trim, trim analog output<\/li>\n<li>Elevation &amp; suppression<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li>Calibrate SMART Displacer type level Transmitter for Different Ranges of level and perform A.Basic setup\n<ol type=\"i\">\n<li>Calibration(Re range, sensor trim, trim analog output)<\/li>\n<li>Calibrate for Interface level measurement<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li>Calibrate SMART Pressure Transmitter for Different Ranges Pressure and perform\n<ol type=\"i\">\n<li>Basic setup<\/li>\n<li>Calibration (Re range, sensor trim, trim analog output<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>  USING MATLAB SOFTWARE<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Simulation of half wave rectifiers.<\/li>\n<li>Simulation of Full wave rectifiers (bridge &amp; centre tap).<\/li>\n<li>Simulation of half Controlled rectifiers .<\/li>\n<li>Simulation of Full Controlled rectifiers (bridge &amp; centre tap).<\/li>\n<li>Plot Root locus.<\/li>\n<li>Plot Bode plot<\/li>\n<li>Simulation DC machines<\/li>\n<li>Simulation of Inverter<\/li>\n<li>Simulation of Choppers<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>  <b>VIRTUAL INSTRUMENTATION PRACTICES USING LAB VIEW<\/b><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Add two numbers using numerical control.<\/li>\n<li>Program to find the speed when the distance and time is given.<\/li>\n<li>Program to calculate frequency F using time period T.<\/li>\n<li>Add two numbers and compute the sine of the result.<\/li>\n<li>Suppose the temperature from a dial is in degree Celsius ,develop a program to convert this temperature to degree Fahrenheit .<\/li>\n<li>Build a program to compare temperature with a set point and if it exceeds the limit, an indicator is ON.<\/li>\n<li>Build a program to convert the temperature in degree C to degree K<\/li>\n<li>Create a program that has a numeric control to input a number x, uses the add and multiply functions to calculate 3&#215;2 +2x +5 and display the output using a numeric indicator.<\/li>\n<li>Simulation of sinusoidal signal and display in the wave form graph. Change amplitude and frequency.<\/li>\n<li>Simulate noise filled sinusoidal signal and filter it.
