The detailed syllabus of dc machines lab is as follows. <\/p>\n<p>  <title>DC Machines Lab<\/title><\/p>\n<h4>Course Outcomes:<\/h4>\n<p align=\"justify\">\n<ol>\n<li>To analyze the performance characteristics of shunt motor.<\/li>\n<li>To analyze the performance characteristics of series motor.<\/li>\n<li>To analyze the performance characteristics of compound motor.<\/li>\n<li>To analyze the characteristics of\n<ol type=\"i\">\n<li>Self excited DC generators<\/li>\n<li>Separately excited DC generators<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h4>LIST OF EXPERIMENTS<\/h4>\n<p align=\"justify\">\n<ol>\n<li>To collect the name plate data and identify power supply controls and terminals of DC machines.<\/li>\n<li>To dismantle and assemble a DC machine and identify parts.<\/li>\n<li>To dismantle and assemble two points, three point and four point starters and identify parts.<\/li>\n<li>To run a separately excited DC generator at rated conditions and plot OCC, determine critical speed and resistance. Deduce the same for different speeds.<\/li>\n<li>To run a self excited DC generator at rated conditions and to plot OCC to determine critical speed and critical resistance.
