Computer System Hardware Lab<\/title><\/p>\n<h4>Course General Outcomes:<\/h4>\n<p align=\"justify\">\n<ol>\n<li>Assembling and Disassembling desk top machine<\/li>\n<li>Different peripheral Installation and Servicing:<\/li>\n<li>Computer Servicing practical<\/li>\n<li>Assembling and Disassembling lap top<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h4>Specific Outcomes:<\/h4>\n<p align=\"justify\">\n <b>PART A – COMPUTER SERVICING PRACTICALS<\/b><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Identification of System Layout.\n<ol type=\"i\">\n<li>Front panel indicators & switches and Front side & rear side connectors.<\/li>\n<li>Familiarize the computer system Layout:Marking positions of SMPS, Motherboard, FDD, HDD, CD, DVD and add on cards.<\/li>\n<li>Configure BIOS setup program and troubleshoot the typical problems using BIOS utility.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li>HARD DISK\n<ol type=\"i\">\n<li>Install Hard Disk.<\/li>\n<li>Configure CMOS-Setup.<\/li>\n<li>Partition and Format Hard Disk.<\/li>\n<li>Identify Master \/Slave \/ IDE Devices.<\/li>\n<li>Practice with scan disk, disk cleanup, disk De-fragmenter, Virus Detecting and Rectifying Software.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<ol type=\"i\">\n<li>Install and Configure a DVD Writer and a Blu-ray Disc writer.<\/li>\n<li>Recording a Blank DVD and Blu-ray Disc.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li>Printer Installation and Servicing:\n<ol type=\"i\">\n<li>Head Cleaning in dot matrix printer<\/li>\n<li>Install and configure Dot matrix printer and Laser printer<\/li>\n<li>Troubleshoot the above printers.<\/li>\n<li>Check and connect the data cable connectivity<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li>Install and configure Scanner, Web cam, Cell phone and bio-metric device with system.
