Auto Electrical Lab<\/title><\/p>\n<h4>GENERAL COURSE OUTCOME<\/h4>\n<p align=\"justify\">\n<ol>\n<li>Understand the constructional features of head acid battery<\/li>\n<li>Perform various tests on head Acid Battery<\/li>\n<li>Prepare electrolyte and charge batteries<\/li>\n<li>Detect the faults in wiring\/circuits of automobiles<\/li>\n<li>Analyse, and specify different colour codes of Automobile cables<\/li>\n<li>Calculate power consumption of different accessories and voltage of bulbs.<\/li>\n<li>Adjust and aim the head lights<\/li>\n<li>Perform various tests on dynamo, alternator and starter motor.<\/li>\n<li>Detect the faults in regulators<\/li>\n<li>Detect the fault in drive mechanism of starter motor<\/li>\n<li>Apply the use of stroboscope in setting ignition timing in cars.<\/li>\n<li>Detect faults in wiring circuit of power windows, central locking system and in-car infotainment system<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h4>SPECIFIC COURSE OUTCOME<\/h4>\n<p align=\"justify\">\n MODULE I<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Recognize Automobile Batteries – Lead Acid Cells\n<ol type=\"i\">\n<li>Prepare Electrolyte<\/li>\n<li>Charge batteries, care and maintenance of storage batteries<\/li>\n<li>Test battery by\n<ol type=\"a\">\n<li>Cell tester (High rate discharge test)<\/li>\n<li>Hydrometer (Specific gravity test)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li>Test battery for voltage – open volt test – polarity test<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p> MODULE II<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Locate complete wiring of passenger cars, commercial vehicles\n<ol type=\"i\">\n<li>Familiarize wiring circuits in various vehicles- colour codes – cable Specifications- wiring harness<\/li>\n<li>Adjust and aim head lights<\/li>\n<li>Use of relay in head light circuit<\/li>\n<li>Wiring circuit through combination switch<\/li>\n<li>Test electrical & electronic type flashers and its wiring connections<\/li>\n<li>Locate instrument panel wiring.
