The detailed syllabus of cadd lab i is as follows. <\/p>\n<p>  <title>CADD Lab I<\/title><\/p>\n<h4>Course Objectives:<\/h4>\n<p align=\"justify\">\n<ol>\n<li>Identify CAD system components<\/li>\n<li>Use CAD for 2D drawings<\/li>\n<li>Prepare simple plans, sections and elevations in CAD<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>  After completing this course student should be able to: <b>UNIT &#8211; I: Introduction to computer aided drafting<\/b><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Understand Auto CAD\n<ol type=\"i\">\n<li>Know CAD system components<\/li>\n<li>Know CADD work station<\/li>\n<li>Identify elements of drawing window<\/li>\n<li>Know application of CAD<\/li>\n<li>Know development of CAD<\/li>\n<li>Identify system requirements<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>  <b>UNIT &#8211; II: CAD Basics<\/b><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Understand CAD basics\n<ol type=\"i\">\n<li>Know start up dialogue box options<\/li>\n<li>Identify pointing devices like mouse<\/li>\n<li>Describe accessing command<\/li>\n<li>Use a template<\/li>\n<li>Open a drawing sheet<\/li>\n<li>Enter data.<\/li>\n<li>Select entity and correct mistakes<\/li>\n<li>Set limits<\/li>\n<li>Draw lines, circles, Arcs etc.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>  <b>UNIT &#8211; III: Working with CAD Software<\/b><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Work using CAD\n<ol type=\"i\">\n<li>Edit using commands like erase, copy, trim, extend, fillet etc<\/li>\n<li>Dimension a drawing<\/li>\n<li>Add text in a drawing<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>  <b>UNIT &#8211; IV: Developing 2D drawing<\/b><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Familiarise with draw commands and edit commands\n<ol type=\"i\">\n<li>Know more draw commands like point, trace, sketch, solid, hatch, poly-line etc<\/li>\n<li>Know object snap settings<\/li>\n<li>Use more edit commands like chamfer, break, stretch, scale, array etc<\/li>\n<li>Use layer commands<\/li>\n<li>Make and insert blocks<\/li>\n<li>Retrieve the drawing as hard copy &amp; soft copy<\/li>\n<li>Draw layouts and plot<\/li>\n<li>Draw detailed plan of small buildings<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h4>MODULE &#8211; I -INTRODUCTION TO CAD<\/h4>\n<p align=\"justify\">\n  Drawing using CAD &#8211; advantages of using CAD-CAD system components- CADD work station-elements of drawing window&#8211;application of CAD&#8211; development of CAD&#8211;system requirements Drawing by CAD Software &#8211; Drawing units zooming and panning &#8211; plotting\n<\/p>\n<h4>UNIT &#8211; II: CAD Basics<\/h4>\n<p align=\"justify\">\n  Start up dialogue box &#8211; options&#8211; CAD Software initial screen, menu bar, tool bars, graphic window, command line, status bar&#8211; Pointing devices like mouse&#8211;.
