Course Objectives:

  • Acquire knowledge of basic android application
  • To understand basic structure of android and relation with database
  • Learn how to develop mobile application
  • Develop knowledge about user

Course Outcomes:

On completion of the course, the student will be able to:

  1. Acquire knowledge of basic android application
  2. To understand basic structure of android and relation with database
  3. Learn how to develop mobile application
  4. Develop knowledge about user interfaces

Module 1:

  1. Create a simple Android application that displays “Hello, World!” when launched.
  2. Write a program to create a button that changes the text of a TextView when clicked.

Module 2:

  1. Create an application that shows a list of items and allows users to add new items to the list.
  2. Build an app that uses a database to store user information, such as name, age, and email address 4

Module 3:

  1. Create a program that displays a map and allows users to add markers to it.
  2. Build an app that uses GPS to track the user’s location and displays it on a map.
  3. Create a program that allows users to send text messages to each other within the app.

Module 4:

  1. Write a program that uses a camera to take a picture and save it to the device’s storage.
  2. Write an application that plays music or videos when a button is clicked.
  3. Build an app that uses Bluetooth to connect to another device and exchange data.

Note:
Experiments shall be conducted such that all COs are attained.
Compulsory for CIA
The CIA shall be arranged in third semester by the faculty in charge. The ESE need to be conducted at the end of the third semester.
