Course Objectives:

  • Exposure to the Artificial Neural Network (ANN) techniques

Course Outcomes:

On completion of the course, the student will be able to:

  1. Configure Development Environment setup
  2. Practice Data Preprocessing techniques
  3. Demonstrate Convolution Neural Network
  4. Experiment with pre trained Convolutional Neural Network models

Module 1:

Google Colab- Python Environments- Anaconda/Miniconda/Jupyter Notebook/Pytorch -Installation and configuration of IDE and required libraries. Python Libraries for Machine Learning- Numpy, Scikit Learn, Pandas, Matplotlib, Tensorflow, keras, NLTK, CV2, PIL

Module 2:

Read csv file- missing data handling, null data handling, removing irrelevant data, avoid duplication, scaling, standardization, normalization, dimensionality reduction Read image files- image preprocessing- resize, scale, crop, color change

Module 3:

Split data for training and testing, Feature scaling, standardization, Performance evaluation Example for problems- Sentiment analysis, Population prediction, Face detection, Hand written digit prediction, Dog-cat classification.

Module 4:

Confusion matrix, Accuracy, Recall, F1-Score
