Course Outcomes:
On completion of the course, the student will be able to:
- Introduce the design methodology for interior design
- Develop furniture design for residential interiors using CAD software in accordance with Anthropometric data
- Develop presentation drawings of residential interiors.
- Develop presentation drawings of commercial interiors
Module 1:
Introduction to design methodology. Space modulation – quantitative and qualitative -quality of interior space – colour and light – psychological effects of space. Materials used for walls, floors, ceilings, sanitary fixtures, lighting and electrification, blinds and curtains. conduct market survey and prepare a report.

- Illustrate plan, sectional elevations and specifications of Commercial interiors using CAD software
- Illustrate reflected ceiling plan of commercial interior using CAD software
