Course Objectives:

• To provide a hands-on experience in creating web pages using HTML.
• To understand web browsers, design and create web pages.

Course Outcomes:

On completion of the course, students will be able to:

1. Identify how web works and what makes web sites work over internet
2. Use different HTML tags like frames, buttons, banners etc. that aids in the design of web pages
3. Utilize web design tools like Dreamweaver, Photoshop etc
4. Apply Webpage styling with CSS

Module 1:

1. Understand Internet to Web Design
2. Familiarize Web Browsers: Internet Explorer, Mozilla Fire Fox, Google Chrome
3. Understand HTML – Acquaintance with elements, Tags and basic structure of HTML files.

Module 2:

1. Implement basic and advanced text formatting
2. Insert multimedia components (Image, Video & Sound) in HTML document.
3. Create Document Layout a. Using Heading and Paragraph tags b. Using Formatting Tags
4. Implement lists and tables using HTML.
5. Implement Hyper linking of web pages.
6. Implement frames, forms and controls using HTML.

Module 3:

1. Work with Dream weaver
2. Work with Photoshop

Module 4:

1. Inline, Internal and External Style sheets Create an html file by applying the different styles using inline, external & internal style sheets.
2. Open Ended Experiments
