Course Outcomes:

On completion of this course the student will be able

  1. Plot the response curve of thermocouples with and without thermo well.
  2. Plot the response curve of series combination of thermocouple.
  3. Plot the response curve of parallel combination of Thermocouple.
  4. Plot the characteristics of Pt 100 R.T.D and determine the sensitivity.
  5. Determine the temperature coefficient of resistance of Pt 100 R.T.D.
  6. Plot the characteristics of Thermistors.
  7. Calibration of Vapour pressure thermometer using mercury in glass thermometer as standard.
  8. Calibration of Bimetal thermometer using mercury in glass thermometer as standard.
  9. Calibrate Bourdon tube Pressure gauge using dead weight Tester.
  10. Measurement of flow by differential pressure method-Orifice meter and Venturimeter.
  11. Measurement of Flow by variable area flow meter -Rotameter.
  12. Determine Coefficient of Discharge of Venturimeter
  13. Determine Coefficient of Discharge of Orifice plate.
  14. Determine Humidity Using psychrometer.
  15. Determine Kinematic and Absolute Viscosity using Viscometer.
  16. Measurement angular velocity using Stroboscope.
  17. Measurement angular velocity using Tachometer.
  18. Measurement Liquid Level Using Sight Glass and Float level sensor.
  19. Measurement Liquid Level Using Conductive probes.
  20. Measurement of density using hydrometer.
  21. Plot the characteristics of acceleration/ vibration measurement.
  22. Plot the characteristics of photoconductive and photo emissive transducer.
