Course Objectives:
- To develop concrete knowledge on the various aspects of Screen printing.
- To acquire precise skill in -photographic stencil making process.
- To develop hands on experience in doing manual screen-printing practices.
Course Outcomes:
On completion of the course, the student will be able to:
- Preparation of stencil. 1
- Perform screen printing in practical. – Letter head, Visiting card and Invitation card.
- Perform screen printing in practical – Using Screen Printing Machine.
- Perform Screen Reclamation.
Module 1:
- Familiarize with screen printing components.
- Work with-Frame, Screen, Squeegee, Stencil and other equipments.
- Study of various types and features of Screen Materials.
- Fabric Stretching on Frame.
Module 2:
- Preparation of Hand cut stencil.
- Preparation of Direct stencil.
- Preparation of Indirect stencil
- Preparation of Capillary stencil
Module 3:
- Make ready for Screen Printing.
- Single color printing practice on screen printing- Printing of Letterheads, Invitation, Notice and Visiting Cards.
- Two color printing practice on screen flat bed unit.
- Multi color printing practice with carousel unit.
Module 4:
- Screen Washing
- Screen Reclamation-Ink Removal, Stencil Removal
