Course Outcomes:

Student will be able to

1. To Prepare dispersions and emulsions of various compounding ingredients
2. To produce dipped latex products.
3. To produce foamed latex products
4. To manufacture latex thread, latex adhesives and toys.

LIST OF EXPERIMENTS

MODULE I DISPERSIONS AND EMULSIONS OF COMPOUNDING INGREDIENTS.

1. Prepare the dispersion of solid compounding ingredients in recipes as a single batch .
   1. Prepare the emulsions of liquid compounding ingredients in recipes for latex products
   2. Prepare latex compounds for gloves, balloons and finger caps

MODULE II DIPPED PRODUCTS

1. Perform the surface cleaning of formers
   1. Prepare dry coacervant and wet coacervant for dipping process
   2. Conduct the dipping process (single and multi dip) for the production of of Surgical and House hold gloves
   3. Conduct the dipping process for the production of Balloons
   4. Conduct the dipping process for the production of finger caps and rubber bands
   5. Carry out the jazzing for balloons

MODULE III FOAMED LATEX PRODUCTS

1. Prepare latex compounds for latex foam
   1. Conduct the foaming, moulding and curing process for the production of Latex foam
   2. Perform a sample preparation of coir foam
   3. Conduct casting process with foamed latex

MODULE IV LATEX THREAD , TOYS AND ADHESIVES

1. Prepare latex compounds for latex thread
   1. Conduct the extrusion process for the production of Latex thread
   2. Prepare latex compounds for toys from latex
   3. Prepare latex compounds for latex Adhesives.
