Course Objectives:
- To develop web applications using PHP and MySQL with the help of jQuery, AJAX and Bootstrap.
Course Outcomes:
On completion of the course, students will be able to:
- Develop PHP applications
- Develop web applications using PHP and MySQL
- Develop applications with PHP, XML, AJAX, and MySQL.
- Develop web pages using Bootstrap 3
Module 1:
- Develop a PHP program to Create a simple calculator.
- Develop a PHP program to create an associate array with details of a student like roll number, name, class, year, fees paid. Add new two elements after creating the array and print all elements in the array using for-each loop inside an HTML table with each item in a row.
- Develop a PHP program to create a two-dimensional indexed array that contains detailsof 5 students (roll number, Name, class, year, place etc) and print the details into an HTML table each student in a row using for-each loop
- Develop 3 PHP programs to demonstrate session operation. First program saves data into session, second displays the session data and third deletes it.
- Develop PHP programs to demonstrate cookie operations A program creates a cookie, second displays the data and third modifies it and fourth deletes it. Set the cookie for 60 seconds and demonstrate the auto expiry.
Module 2:
- Develop PHP program to perform login operation, check with username and password stored inside MySQL table.
- Develop PHP program to display the mark list of all students in class stored inside MySQL table.
Module 3:
- Develop an AJAX Program to load a text file into a webpage when user clicks a button.
- Develop an AJAX Program to load an XML file that contains India’s states and districts in to a webpage.
- Develop an AJAX Program to load a student’s data from database and display it in a table.
- Develop a jQuery program to implement focus and blur event to all text boxes inside a form, when user focus on the textbox set background colour to gray, when blurred set it back to white.
- Develop a jQuery program Demonstrate hide/show, fade and slide effects on a div.
- Develop a jQuery program to load a text stored in server when user clicks on a button in webpage using AJAX.
Module 4:
- Create a table using Bootstrap to display student details.
- Create a login form using Bootstrap.
Suggested Open-Ended Experiments
(Not for End Semester Examination but compulsory to be included in Continuous Internal Evaluation). Students can do open-ended experiments as a group of 3-5. There is no duplication in experiments in between groups. This is mainly for the purpose of continuous internal evaluation and a score of 15 marks. Students should prepare a separate report on open ended experiment of their choice.
