- To enable the students in crafting professional knowledge with structured query language and to prepare database for organizational purpose.
Course Outcomes:

- Implement creating and altering tables
- Implement retrieval of information
- Implement queries,views,triggers,cursors, stored procedure and functions
Module 1:
- Exercises for Creating and Altering Tables
- Familiarize various data types and usages
- Exercises for creating tables with constraints NULL, DEFAULT, CHECK, PRIMARY KEY, UNIQUE, referential Integrity, creating indexes
Module 2:
- Exercises for retrieval of information using SELECT statements with WHERE, ORDER BY clause and deleting records
- Exercises for Inserting, Updating and Deleting Data.
- Exercises for retrieval of information with aggregate functions and group by, having clauses
Module 3:
- Exercises for creating views
- Experiment using triggers & cursors
- Experiment using stored procedures and functions
