Course Outcomes:

On completion of this course the student will be able to

  1. V-I characteristics of SCR.
  2. V-I characteristics of DIAC.
  3. V-I characteristics of TRIAC.
  4. V-I characteristics of UJT.
  5. To observe the triggering methods of SCR.
    1. R-Triggering method
    2. RC-Triggering method
    3. UJT-Triggering method
  6. To construct a half controlled rectifier and observe its input / output waveform.
  7. To construct a full controlled rectifier and observe its input / output waveform.
  8. To construct a Bridge controlled rectifier and observe its input / output waveform.
  9. To construct a light dimmer circuit and observe the illumination control of the lamp load
  10. To construct an inverter circuit and measure its input / output voltage
  11. TRIAC Firing Using DIAC
  12. To study of DC motor speed control using SCR
  13. Design and construct an automatic street lamp using opto coupler and LDR
  14. Set up an emergency lamp circuit using SCR
  15. Design and construct Stepper motor speed control using SCR
