Course Objectives:
- To troubleshoot & repair laptops.
- To Install & set up different types of servers in different platforms.
- To configure various storage management systems.
Course Outcomes:
On comp letion of the course student will be able to:
- Configure and Troubleshoot Laptops
- Configure and setup NAS system.
- Demonstrate different types of server installations .
- Implement different RAID configurations, Web Server & FTP server.
Module 1:
- Configure and Troubleshoot Laptops
- Demonstrate BIOS Setup and configuration operations in laptop systems
- Experiment with troubleshooting of laptop components
- Demonstrate Repairing Laptop components
Module 2:
- Illustrate NAS facilities,interfaces and types.
- Demonstrate the procedure to configure and install the NAS.
- Illustrate the methods for remote connection to NAS
- Demonstrate the RAID configuration setup for NAS
- Construct and configure an example NAS system.
Module 3:
- Classify servers – Server form factors-tower,rack & blade
- Experiment with the installation of server into rack with optional slide rails
- Install cable management assembly
- Demonstrate powering on and off the Server and connecting routing cables .
Module 4:
- Demonstrate RAID configurations using software methods in Linux & Windows
- Demonstrate RAID configurations using hardware in Linux & Windows
- Configuring Web Server,FTP server
- Demonstrate Port forwarding in Web server
