Course Objectives:

  • Provide hands-on experience to develop dynamic websites.
  • Expertise in connecting database to front end application

Course Outcomes:

On completion of the course, the student will be able to:

  1. Implement dynamic web pages using PHP
  2. Develop web applications in PHP using cookie, session, file and database.
  3. Make use of PHP framework in developing web applications
  4. Design and develop a complete database driven multi tiered web application

Module 1:

  1. Develop simple web applications using control structures in PHP
  2. Use arrays to develop web applications
  3. Build Data Retrieval Form using PHP

Module 2:

  1. Implement session & cookie management using PHP
  2. Implement File Handling in PHP
  3. Illustrate database and table creation using web based database administration tools
  4. Develop web pages for data handling using PHP (Insert, Delete and Update)

Module 3:

  1. Design and develop web application using framework (WordPress/Joomla/ laravel )

Module 4:

  1. Open Ended Experiments** – Design and develop a complete database driven multi tiered web application using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP & MySQL

Suggested Open Ended Experiments

(Not for End Semester Examination but compulsory to be included in Continuous Internal Evaluation. Students can do open ended experiments as a group of 2-3. There is no duplication in experiments between groups. Open ended experiments should include the concepts of html, CSS & JavaScript)
