CONTENT OUTLINE

1. Introduction to Auto CAD
   1. Computer aided drafting- Starting auto CAD- picking points- the command window- The pull down menu- Tool bars- Tool tips- Fly outs- Moving the tool bar.
2. Working with CAD
   1. Know the drawing tool bar- Starting the first drawing- Steps to be followed for starting the drawing-Specifying distance with coordinates- Cartesian coordinates- Polar coordinates- Fast way to enter distance- Poly line- Cleaning the screen- Command options- Selecting options from pop menuSelecting objects in auto cad- Selecting object before the command.
3. Learning the Draw and Modify commands
   1. Setting limits of drawing- Specifying units- Scale factors- Grid mode & back ground- Using snap mode- Trim command- Osnap options- Copy command- mirror command- Making of chamfer, radius, hatching- Add text.
4. Organizing the work.
   1. Information with layers- Assigning layers to objects- Working on layers-Controlling layer visibility, scale, and line weights. Develop isometric views of simple objects.
