Course Objectives:
- To provide expertise in the estimation of purity of compounding ingredients
- To impart skill in the determination of properties of carbon black from iodine number of black
Course Outcomes:
On completion of the course, the student will be able to:
- Determine the Purity of compounding ingredients
- Determine the properties of carbon black.

- Determine the percentage purity of MBT
- Determine the percentage purity of DPG
- Determine the percentage purity of ZnO
- Estimate the percentage purity of formalin.
- Determine the moisture content of clay and silica
- Determine the melting point of stearic acid,TMT.
- Determine the acid number of stearic acid.
- Determine the aniline point of processing oil.

- Determine the iodine number of HAF black
- Determine the iodine number of GPF black
- Determine the Bulk density of carbon black
