Course Objectives:

Student will be able to

1. To know the types of wiring and its suitable application concerned.
2. To identify and connect voltmeters, ammeters and wattmeters.
3. To measure speed of Squirrel cage Induction motors
4. To identification and measurement of single phase and three phase power.
5. To determine power connection &transmission analysis to various polymer processing machinery & testing equipments.
6. To understand and apply safety in electrical installation

WORKS IN ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING LAB

1. Wiring of one lamp and one plug, control of two lamp in series and In Parallel. 9
2. Stair case wiring, Go down wiring. 3
3. Wiring of mercury vapour lamp 3
4. Wiring of Distribution Board including Isolator, MCB and ELCB 3
5. Study voltmeters wattmeters and ammeters connection 3
6. Study of Squirrel cage Induction motor using Star Delta Switch Measure speed 3
7. Measurement of single phase and 3- phase power 6
8. Measurement of resistance by V/A method 3
9. Wire up circuit connecting a three-phase induction motor with MCB and starters3
10. Study &3- phase Power Connection to open roll mixing mill. 6
11. Conduct a load test on three phase induction motor with mill. 6
12. Determine the efficiency of electrically heated plated in press. 6
13. Study the safety precautions in electrical installation 6
