Course Objectives:

  • Define the principle of Web page design
  • Define the basics in web design
  • Visualize the basic concept of HTML.
  • Recognize the elements of HTML.
  • Introduce basics concept of CSS.

Course Outcomes:

On comp letion of the course, the student will be able to:

  1. Understand the fundamentals of HTML
  2. Assemble PC from components
  3. Familiarize the basics of CSS
  4. Use advanced features of CSS

Module 1:

  1. Familiarization of web browsers, websites, search engine, web page.
  2. Design an html page using basic tags such as head, title, body.
  3. Create html page using page formatting tags.
  4. Use of span and div tags.
  5. Create html page using text formatting tags.

Module 2:

  1. Design a web page to create an hyperlink and embed an image using html.
  2. Create a web page containing ordered and unordered list
  3. Use table tag and its attributes to design a web page
  4. Create frames in web page using html
  5. Design a web page using form and use various controls

Module 3:

  1. Design a web page to introduce various font styles
  2. Create stylesheet to familiarize with different class selectors
  3. Create Style sheet to use text alignment and color properties

Module 4:

  1. Use pseudo class: hover, focus in CSS
  2. Create style sheet to implement CSS box model (border, padding, margin)
  3. Create a style sheet to insert a background image in a web page .use different properties also
  4. Create a web page with all types of Cascading style sheets
  5. Develop static pages (using only HTML) of an online shopping site. The website should consists of following pages: home page, registration and user login, user profile page, Product list, shopping cart, payment by credit card, order confirmation. Use CSS also .

Note:
Experiments shall be conducted such that all COs are attained.
Minimum of 6 experiments (excluding open ended experiments / micro projects) shall be performed.
CompulsoryforCIA
The CIA shall be arranged in third semester by the faculty in charge.TheESE need to be conducted at theendof thethird semester.
