3269: Web Design Lab KL Diploma Syllabus for IT 3rd Sem 2015 Revision SITTTR

Web Design Lab detailed syllabus for Information Technology (IT) for 2015 revision curriculum has been taken from the SITTTRs official website and presented for the IT students. Web Design Lab

Course Outcomes:

On completion of this course the student will be able to :

  1. To understand HTML
  2. To understand HTML Advanced
  3. To understand HTML5 Basics
  4. To understand CSS

Specific Outcomes:

CYCLE – I: HTML Basics

  1. To understand HTML Basics
    1. Create a basic HTML page with basic HTML syntax with head, title, body and some paragraphs
    2. Create an HTML program to create heading and paragraphs like on a textbook
    3. Create an un-ordered and ordered list to list out India’s states and their districts
    4. Create HTML table to list out the internal mark of 10 students in your class with columns roll number, name , semester , mark scored, maximum mark, percentage and pass status
    5. Create a HTML page with an unordered list that lists 10 websites ant their hyperlinks.

CYCLE – II: HTML Advanced

  1. To understand HTML Advanced
    1. Create an HTML page that contains 9 images, 3 in a row inside a table, the table borders should not be visible
    2. Create two iframes in a web page and load two external WebPages inside them
    3. Create a web page to stream YouTube videos in to a local webpage
    4. Create a web page to test the inline and block properties of HTML elements. Create 3 paragraphs and 3 images. Find out the difference in their arrangement in webpage
    5. Create a webpage that can show HTML code as code inside WebPages

CYCLE – III: HTML5 Basics

  1. To understand HTML5 Basics
    1. Create a login form with username field, password field a remember checkbox and submit button in post method
    2. Create a web page for registration form with fields for first name, last name, username, password, gender, email, languages known, address, and district in select box and submit button
    3. Create a web page for registration form using HTML5 form fields, with fields for first name, last name , username , password, gender, email, languages known , address, district in select box and submit button
    4. Create a web page with a form to two files and their titles in get method
    5. Create a web form for change password process with fields old password, new password , confirm new password and submit button
    6. Create a webpage with heading and paragraphs and set their font colour and background colour using inline style method
    7. Create 10 paragraphs in two groups of five, apply different style to each group

CYCLE – IV: CSS

  1. To understand CSS
    1. Create a webpage that contain a table with collapsed red colour border to list out the internal marks of 10 students
    2. Create 5 hyperlinks with styles for each link states given link-visited-hover and active
    3. Create an unordered list of hyperlinks and arrange them in a row as menu Items
    4. Create a web page with a table and change background colour of alternative rows inside it
    5. Design a layout using div tag and CSS floating property with a header, left sidebar, content area, right sidebar and footer. Place a menu designed using unordered list inside the header. Content part contains a registration form
